With more than two decades behind the decks, DRE’ has built his approach through years of club experience, extended sets and carefully considered music selection. His roots go back to Malta’s underground scene, including the launch of Definitive Underground in 2007, while his career has also taken him beyond Malta to performances in Ibiza, Berlin, Sicily and Prague.

That experience gives him the freedom to move naturally between deeper Afro House, melodic material and more driving club records while maintaining a clear identity throughout his sets.

 

His experience as a DJ feeds directly into his production work, particularly in how he approaches arrangement, tension and what translates in a club environment. His catalogue includes releases on Moon Din Records and Switch Records, alongside earlier releases on labels including Kitchen Recordings, Critical Fusion, Mind Connector, Superordinate Music, Parquet Recordings

 

Recent releases have marked a more focused chapter for the project. “Badman Rhythm” on Moon Din Records reached #25 in Beatport’s Afro House Top 100, followed by “Breathing Again,” a three-track EP on Switch Records. An upcoming release on Afrokhin Records continues that run as DRE’ develops a more defined direction around rhythm, melody and his experience behind the decks.

 

Since returning with renewed focus in 2024, DRE’ has been steadily rebuilding the project around original music, regular DJ performances and a stronger international outlook. 

Alongside his releases, his monthly studio DJ-set series gives listeners a direct view into the music currently shaping his sets and the direction of the project.
